Winter is coming - We need your help to prepare Ukraine for winter!

The war has not stopped and with winter coming, NOW is the time to prepare.

During the first 40 days of the war, Kyiv was the greatest target.  It is only by a miracle that it was not overtaken.  The Russian troops were coming in from the North. Their goal was to overtake Kyiv, change our leadership and in this way, take over the country.

During these 40 days, Russians destroyed a major part of the North side of the Kyiv region. On April 2nd, the Kyiv region was completely freed from Russian occupants.  It was a great victory and yet, for the first time around the world people heard the names of Irpin, Bucha and others. We were all shocked by the photos and the discovery of the atrocities committed, the cruelty and level of destruction that the fight had brought to that land.  

In total, Ukraine's troops have retaken more than 30 towns and villages around Kyiv, according to officials. The recaptured towns bear the scars of five weeks of fighting.  Thousands of people currently occupy homes that are not livable: many homes are missing windows and doors, other homes have broken roofs, and there are some families that have no home at all left.

To answer the great needs we see in the Kyiv region, we would like to start two campaigns:

-Bring in 100 new temporary homes by the end of October.  Partnering with the Homes of Hope organization.

-Help fix existing houses: clean up rubbles, put in windows, fix roofs.

For the most part the victims are elderly people that have no help. We are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus, to share the love of God with others, and we see that as our calling as a mission in Ukraine during this time.

Many of you have given already and it has been a huge help to bringing food to people that desperately need it. Now we are asking again- could you please join us in this effort as well?
